is a community of baptized believers,
who worship God, teach the word,

The Vision of the Metro

We are thriving disciples of Jesus, transformed by the Word, and resolute to worship Sunday through Saturday. We welcome people from all walks of life and usher the Kingdom of God into every sphere of MetroKC and the world.

The Values of Metropolitan Baptist Church

We are members and leaders of the Metropolitan Baptist family. We embody true discipleship through our key values. We accept responsibility to grow in three areas, UP, IN and OUT:

UP       RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
  • Regular practices of Sabbath, Prayer, Fasting, Solitude, Scripture, Community, Generosity, Service, & Witness.
  • A lifestyle of repentance and faith.

IN       RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER BELIEVERS

  • Cultivating intentional relationships with other believers in sacrificial love.
  • A lifestyle of learning and teaching fellow disciples inside and outside the classroom.

OUT   RELATIONSHIP WITH THOSE OUTSIDE THE FAITH

  • Cultivating one’s style of hospitality (love of the stranger) and contributing to making the Metropolitan Family a welcoming environment.
  • Developing meaningful relationships with people in the KCMetro.
